Company History
Since founding Montrose in over 40 years ago, managing director
Roger Lambert has demonstrated strong commitment to the raising
of standards of working practice within the industry. He has
served on the Council of the HVCA, as well as the Heating,
Ventilating and Domestic Engineers’ National Joint
Industrial Council.
In his role as chairman of Engineering
Services Training Trust
Ltd and as a director of Piper Enterprises Ltd, Roger has been
a force in improving standards and availability of training in
the HVAC sector. For over a decade, he was chairman of the training
management agency, Building Engineering Services Training Ltd
(BEST), an organisation that he helped set up to give employers
assistance
in offering apprenticeships to young people.
As managing director
of Montrose Building Services Limited - now considered London
and the South East’s premier installer of domestic
and commercial heating, as well as bathrooms and accessible
products for elderly and disabled people - Roger is a staunch
advocate
of vocational training and remains a powerful voice in the
HVCA today.
By way of recognition for four decades of hard work within the
heating and ventilation industry, Roger and his team of loyal
staff have received the HVCA Outstanding Service Award, one of
only 8 that have been awarded.
Roger also acts jointly as Non-Executive
Chairman of Medway Housing Society Construction Services and
Chairman of the Kingston
Housing Association Housing Committee, which gives him a greater
understanding of the impact of social housing issues within
Montrose’s
marketplace.
